Miss You

February 28, 2011

Welcome.  Peet Roeven will be with us all week with her fabulous paper piecing techniques.  Today’s card “Miss You” features the beautiful wood-mounted stamp Flower Amongst Flowers.

Peet used VersaMark Watermark ink to stamp the flowers on different colored cardstocks then heat embossed them in white.  After trimming the images, she layered them for a dramatic effect.

Supplies:  Penny Black Stamps – 4155L Flower Amongst Flowers, 30-014 Salutations. Penny Black Mix & Match Cardstock – Olive Grove  and Rose Garden. Penny Black Background Paper – 60-005 Script Foil White.

This is the new stamp that Peet used in her elegant design.

 CARD CHALLENGE – PAPER PIECING
This week’s challenge here on the Penny Black Blog is all about Paper Piecing.  Create a new card using Penny Black Stamps and include a paper piecing technique and enter it into our Gallery by Sunday night at Midnight, PST.  Please tag your entry with “paperpiecing” so we can easily view all of the entries. Good luck!  We’ll be back tomorrow with another beautiful card from Peet and our winner from last week’s Easter challenge!

Amazing card! Love the cut flowers and dimensional card! Also love the layout and even the way the sentiment was done with that little flower. I would have thought this would be called stamping, embossing and paper cutting but I guess since you pieced the pink part of the flower onto the green flower that is the ‘paper piecing’? Anyway, it is wonderful, I have been to your Flickr account through the Penny Black Circle and all of your cards are wonderful! Thank you for sharing!
