Spot Coloring with Kathy
January 3, 2012
Kathy Racoosin did a beautiful job employing a ‘spot coloring’ technique on a pair of stamped cards;
Kathy colored the skin tones and hair of her focal image, leaving all other elements in black and white;
Here’s a close-up of the coloring and layering;
SUPPLIES: “Kisses” and “Love Assortment“.

stunning Cards. Love the idea of just colouring the hair and skin.
Superb coloring! Love the spot color focus on the little adorable girl!
WOW I love these in the black and white. so striking!
Such cuteness! The bold contrast and elegant backgrounds are first class
I just a adore what you have done here Kathy
The whole concept of Spot Colouring thrills me & I particularly like the concept of using black & white as a foil for vibrant colouring – it really does focus the eye & I love the layering of her skirt plus Kathy’s trademark embellishing of it.
