We’re pausing the reveal of our new stamps to welcome a wonderfully talented Guest Designer to the Blog today. We spotted Anika’s work in our Gallery and asked her to be our Guest today. Enjoy!

Hello, I am Anika (aka Anni) and I’m from Germany. For 15 years now I´ve lived in the beautiful city of Berlin and I am married. I work as a math teacher at a vocational college; to perform handicraft work is a perfect compensation for that.  From the cradle, I grew up in a family of creative hobbyists, whereas I always only loved working with paper – I am wasted on needlework. I’ve been into stamping since 2008, I love clean and simple cards, and yet eventually my cards often turn out to be somewhat more complex. I love the soothing paper piecing and resist techniques. I came across the gorgeous motives of Penny Black at Jill Foster’s blog. Once touched, I was infected immediately and my collection of Penny Black stamps is constantly growing. Particularly, the amazing floral motives are my favourites, large flowers like “Sundail” and now “Sunburst”, but likewise the versatile, usable backgrounds.

Thank you, Anika! You can visit Anika’s Blog to see more of her work by clicking on one of her photographs. We’re back on Monday with a full week of brand new stamps and card designs. Have a great weekend!

Intriguing range of cards – it’s that second one that really catches my eye. The matching of the colouring for the petals with that ribbon is terrific.
