Make a joyful noise

October 16, 2012

Isn’t this tag from Penny Black designer Elizabeth Allan just delightful? She die cut the tag base from a cereal box, then covered it with book text, gesso, and acrylic paint.  Joyful Noise 40-181 (illustrated by Mo Manning) was colored with Copics, then fussy cut and adhered with dimensional foam. She also used In A Pear Tree 30-035 (sentiment), Crystalline 30-018 (snowflakes) on her tag.

Elizabeth lives in Michigan, and shares her stamped creations on her blog, Elizabeth’s Art Studio. Visit for more Penny Black creations!

Thanks for stopping by today - if you’re looking for more inspiration, please visit our gallery on Flickr and at Splitcoaststampers. You can also find us on Facebook, and on Twitter, too!

See you tomorrow with another pretty card (Edited: We’ll be back with another great PB&J video from Jill  NEXT Wednesday)!

The snowy text background is so evocative of the traditional Christmas scene & the little dog is a real delight – you can feel him howling away.

This background technique is perfect for this sweet image. Your coloring and cutting is terrific. The little Joy tag is a great embellishment. Beautiful tag, it should be framed!

Elizabeth’s work always inspires me! This is wonderful–the coloring & the background especially caught my eye. By the way, I never saw the WCMD $100 gift certificate winner posted.
