Today Angela shows us how to combine sketched designs with stamping for a unique and creative design with Mini Mixed Media Journal pages.
First Angela drew a figure on her page with pencil. (Want to use this image and play along? Angela has given you permission to print it if you’d like.)
Next, she copied her image and made a mask on thin copy paper.
Then she colored her rubber stamp with Gelatos, spritzed with water, and stamped over the masked image making sure to cover entire page
Angela then colored the girl starting with Pitt Pastel Pencils then Art Grip Color Pencils. She stamped the tulips with black Staz-0n ink
Next Angela colored the tulips with Pitt Pastel Pencils first, then Art Grip Color Pencils.
To finish things off, she stamped the bird on branch with black Staz-On ink. Then she cleaned off the stamp and inked only the front of the branch to stamp around the bird and the bottom of the tulips. She also added more detail to the girl and tulips with a 01 black micron pen.
