Batik Stationery Set

April 12, 2011

Kathy’s back with a beautifully vibrant set of cards using the batik technique. There are so many options with this technique and no two cards look the same.

1. Clear emboss your image onto watercolor paper; 2. Blend at least two shades of distress ink onto the paper starting with the lightest shade in the center and working outward; 3. Spritz with water.

Supplies: Penny Black Lace Edged #4154K wood-mounted stamp, Mix & Match Cardstock; Ranger Distress Inks: Forest Moss, Shabby Shutter, Peeled Paint, Bundled Sage, Mustard Seed, Rusty Hindge, Worn Lipstick, Fire Brick Red, Wild Honey, Tumbled Glass, Broken China, and Dusty Concord; Miscellanous: White Enamel Accents, Watercolor paper, Craft Mat, Butterfly Punch, and Antique Pin. Kathy bundled her stationery set in clear packaging and created a decorative band to hold it together;
