Borders & Frames with Kathy; Day 1

May 31, 2011
by

Kathy Racoosin is here today with a pair of cards using the positive and negative elements of a frame that she die cut using her Spellbinders machine;

Kathy used the positive portion of the frame to showcase her stamped and stitched card front;

The negative portion of the die cut was then used to border another stamped card front, for a different effect;

Kathy’s back tomorrow with another sample on using borders and frames on greeting cards. Now for the WINNER of last week’s card sketch challenge! Congratulations to… Katherine Kloschinsky! You can view her entry HERE. Check out this week’s challenge by viewing yesterday’s post. Katherine, please email me at jenyfur1234@yahoo.com with your choice of a Penny Black transparent set of stamps and we’ll throw in a few packages of Mix & Match Cardstock as well!

    Both delightful but it is the second that is my favourite. I just wouldn’t have thought it could look so stunning.

    Kathy these are beautiful! Love the cute little mouse and the colorful flower pot. The green background showing through the negative frame is very dramatic! Loving those shades of green.

    Love the stitching on the first card and the sentiment in the cloud. How cute to frame the little mouse! Also, love the tattered look of the cut-out frame on the second card! Thank you for sharing.
