PB&J Monday with Jill Foster; Distressing

July 11, 2011
by

Jill Foster is here today, as she is every Monday, with a video tutorial using Penny Black stamps! Today’s video covers distressing techniques which is this week’s theme. Enjoy! Jill is back nearly every day this week sharing brand new projects. Click HERE to watch directly on YouTube in HD.

CARD CHALLENGE
Create a *new* card using your favorite distressing technique (or one you learn from Jill this week!) and upload it into our Gallery by Midnight on Sunday night, PST. Be sure to tag your entry with ‘pennyblackdistressing’. We’ll choose a winner to receive a prize package of Penny Black stamps to be announced on Tuesday.

Please click the “Gallery” tab on our banner and say hello at Penny Circle!  There are several topics being discussed including your favorite stamping technique and storage ideas (I shared a photo of how I store/display my wood-mounted stamps…).  We’d love for you to stop by and introduce yourself if you haven’t already.

Jill is definitely the queen of distress inks! If only I had known her a few months earlier, I wouldn’t have wasted my money on buying Stampin’ up inks from a lady that even ripped me off 😦 Now, I love distress inks so much after seeing Jill use them in so many creative ways. Thank you so much for so generously sharing your talent Jill!!!!!

This is stunning card and effect Jill. I need to CASE it, if you permit;)) Never have used glossy card, is it the same as Glossy photo paper???TFS this wonderful video.

      Thanks, Isha- CASE away. 🙂
I haven’t tried this technique on glossy photo paper so I’m not sure. Let us know what you find out! Happy stamping!

Isha, if it is printer photo paper it will not work the same as the glossy card that Jill used as it is designed to absorb the ink quickly – the glossy card allows ink to sit on top and allows you to use the techniques in Jill’s video.

Have fun what ever paper you try!
