Fanciful Critters; Day 5

September 23, 2011

Last but not least this week we have Elizabeth Allan’s sweet and wonderful shaped card featuring Teddy. Elizabeth used our new Slapstick stamp, “Around Christmas” as her background panel;

Elizabeth did not ink the Christmas Tree portion of the stamp so that she could add Teddy, (“Christmas Everyday”), in its place. The images were colored with Copic Markers and distressed for a rustic touch. Teddy’s jacket was accented with Antique White Embossing powder that was not heated. Crystal Stickles was used for the glue medium. You can visit Elizabeth’s Blog for more details and instructions by clicking on her card.

Please join us next week as gear up for the Winter Season with frolicking snowmen! Have a great weekend…

    Teddy’s wellies are just delightful, especially in the way they incorporate the traditional seasonal colours. The whole background is a brilliant idea – the more I see of that stamp the more versatile it seems to me.

    What an amazing creation, it is hard to believe this artwork started with plain white cardstock! Your coloring is outstanding, and so is your choice of colors. I love the way you inserted the Teddy. The background and punched edges are very elegant. Never thought of using unheated embossing powder for texture. Thank you for the detailed instructions on your Blog!
