Simple Stamping; Card Sketch

December 28, 2011

Hello everyone and welcome back! I hope you’re enjoying our Simple Stamping week here at the Penny Black Blog. I have a card to share today, along with a coordinating card sketch. This card uses our new transparent set, “Love Assortment“.

I stamped the rose onto watercolor paper three times. I colored the images with Faber Castell Big Brush Artist Pens and trimmed them into 1″ strips. I stamped the sentiment onto white cardstock and mounted the strips above using foam tape. After matting the piece in red, I attached it to my black card base.

And here’s the sketch — feel free to right click and save to your computer.

If you create a card using the sketch, be sure to upload it to our Gallery, we love seeing your work! Have a great day, I’m back tomorrow with more Simple Stamping by Kelley!

delightful the way those rounded bottom corners echo the font of the sentiment & the little twine bow. This is so helpful for this kind of “simple” stamping is achievable for me.
Thanks for the sketch – terrific the way the little bow just adds to it.
