Hooray! I was so happy to see some of the PB team over on Simon! PB is one of my very favorite stamp companies. My favorite thing about stamping is that no matter how many people own your very same stamps, the projects everyone creates with them are so different! It’s amazing what a little change of color can do for an image. 🙂

Brilliant idea, I am sure it will work well. What’s not to like about stamping. You don’t need a computer or printer. You can stamp anywhere and you get to look at your stamps on display too:)

I’ll go & have a look at the Simon Says blog but in the meantime…….. I love the fact that stamping can allow for creativity whatever your style – if you like colouring, there’s a stamp for you & if you like dimensional glitz – there’s a stamp you can emboss. PB is particularly versatile with their range of images in that way for there are cute & classic designs.

It was also the first stamp I ever bought and is still one of my all time faves 🙂 I love the fact that there is always more techniques to learn and different looks to achieve ,, and no 2 are exactly the same 🙂 stamping isn’t ‘just’ a hobby ,,, it’s an addiction !! 🙂

Stamping is so versatile. You can place images where you want, combine them, mask them colour them, layer them, chop and change them. If I don’t include stamping on a card, I feel like I’ve cheated or taken a shortcut.

I love how stamping relaxes me….I seem to shut out everything going on around me, except sometimes my kitties who want to play with my supplies, and think of nothing else but creating. It’s also rewarding to see the recipients of my cards oooh and awww and they know the card took more effort than going into a card store and picking a mass produced card. I never make two cards exactly alike so there’s an element of uniqueness.

  32. September 21, 2012 4:51 am

Stamping is fun and is almost like a therapy for me… if I’m feeling too stressed or unhappy I can sit down with a white sheet of paper and create anything I want… I am in complete control over my projects and every now then everyone needs that in their lives! Thanks so much!

I love rubber stamps in particular, and all the wonderful images that I have at my fingertips to use. I can stamp in so many ways, just stamp and colour, emboss, stamp into UTEE, there are so many more techniques I have yet to try and I love it! When I bought my first rubber stamp in 2006 I had no idea I would end up with so many of them, and that I would use them on most cards that I make. I love the Penny Black stamps and all the cute characters. I also use digi stamps now, never thought I would, but I prefer to use rubber every time!

Beautiful designs from Jill and Elizabeth! I love stamping because I’ve found it to be the easiest way to exercise my creativity – I don’t seem to be happy unless I’m creating something, and stamping fulfills that niche. Coloring in an image that I’ve stamped is relaxing, and then pairing it up with beautiful papers and embellishments is just icing on the cake!

  43. September 21, 2012 5:40 am

I love that each stamp is actually a piece of artwork that I get to play with and make into whatever coloration, using all types of mixed mediums! Like painting the Sistene Chapel in Neon, but different bc I can send mine to a friend to enjoy as well!! Just fun stuff to play with, actually!

I love stamping because it takes me back to my childhood where I could sit for hours coloring and making the image mine alone without a care in the world. Sometimes coloring ‘by the rules’ with standard colors for standard items. Then sometimes I would change the colors of the images to make some of them special or would shade them (yes, you can shade with regular crayons..lol).to bring more life to them. Stamping gives me that wonderful feeling of leaving stress behind and enjoying such a simple part of life by creating something that is unique because I made it. Just on a more grown up scale 🙂

What’s not to love about stamping? It’s been a wonderful creative outlet for me, especially since losing my mother in 2009. She was so creative and I feel that I have a little bit of her with me whenever I make cards or other items for family or friends. Not to mention the delight I get when someone comments on a handmade card they receive from me. It’s more special to take the time to create something from scratch for someone that is tailored to their whimsical or sentimental side when it comes to stamping and creating. I find it so much more fulfilling than buying a store-bought, mass produced card or gift. When you make it yourself, you put a little of yourself into it, and that’s the best gift anyone could ask for, in my opinion.

I love SSS, they carry great stock and have great service too. I love stamped card making for the shareability. Unlike a scrapbook, which would go in a binder and get looked at when?, I know that every single thing I make, no matter how much I love it, is going to be given away and hopefully brighten someones day. That makes me very happy.

Stamping is a way to release my stress and just find some inner peace while choosing the stamps and the right ink for my cards.
I like the fact that stamping can be done if you’re in a hurry (simply stamp and add a sentiment) or if you have more time, you can color with your favorite medium and add it to an already stamped background and keep adding details.
The best part is that Penny Black has stamps for both styles ! Thanks for inspiring us and for the chance to win!

After years of scrapbooking, decorative painting, and creating legal briefs, I have discovered a brand new way of self-expression. Stamping! This is a new project that brings about new relationships by others willing to share their own creations so that other stampers are inspired. I start out by seeing something I like and then strive to make it my own by putting my own spin on it. Stamping is a craft I can share with everyone, on any occasion, all of the time! I am fascinated by the hundreds of cards others create. When I sit back and look at the cards I have created, I get drawn into the passion of the statement that each individual card makes. Every card is a different story and adventure. Each card is fashioned with someone special in mind. What is there not to love about Stamping?

Stamping in crafts is like acostic music – you use the tools in a pure unmodified way. The stamp is the instrument and the ink is the note. Nothing contrived. I love music and I love getting inky.
