Take Flight 20 – Day 18 Clean and simple Bed of Roses card

Karen Dunbrook‘s clean, simple and very striking card was made by stamping Bed of Roses in Memento black then cutting it into three strips. She stamped the background again and cut out and coloured just one of the roses with Copic markers. A sentiment from Edge to Edge was stamped on a hand-cut banner, and the rose and banner were adhered with foam tape. Simple beauty!

An absolutely striking technique. Classy & Elegant but not too fussy – an interesting idea for CAS that I think even I could achieve (CAS & I are not great friends in practical terms!).

Cutting the background into panels was a great idea. Lifting and coloring one of the background roses made a perfect focal point. Excellent choice in size of sentiment also. Anything smaller would have been lost in the background……….even raised on foam!
