A birthday bouquet

April 8, 2013

pennyblack_birthday_bouquet

Penny Black designer Therese Schaffer brought this beautiful bouquet to life by coloring Spring Beauty (40-104) with Prismacolor Pencils. The sentiment is from Friendship (30-160).  She also added Madison Patterned Paper and a gem to complete the card. Stunning simplicity – a perfect birthday card for anyone on your list! Simply exchange the sentiments and you would have a card perfect for any occasion.

This looks super with the yellow & blue of the patterned paper just echoing the yellow/blue of the flowers in the bouquet. The little blue tinge in the crystal brad works beautifully too & I love the offsetting of the image with the rounded corners.

That’s so gorgeous it’s going in my inspiration file! I love Clean and Simple cards, but they’re often trickier than more heavily layered ones to pull off.

Just makes me smile to look at this beautiful card! Reminds me to use my Madison papers!
