Wistful – a happy accident

April 9, 2013

Penny Black designer Cathy Andronicou created this card uses Wistful 40-193, Spellbinders dies  and paper punched leaves, flowers and butterflies.

Cathy said, “After making this I pressed my stamp onto a scrap piece of card to take off some of the excess ink before cleaning with a wipe, I then did the same again with the letter background stamp 1999L on the same scrap of paper  and I quite liked the effect that appeared on the scrap paper and so decided to make it into the card below, which I actually prefer to the original one.”

Both are beautiful. The second gives a great soft feature which is wonderful! Either one would be welcomed in my mailbox! 🙂

Saw this on Cathy’s blog–wonderful style she has! I love both, but maybe the “accident” the best!

Delightfully different looks from the one stamp with so much character in each. The detail in each is lovely & it’s hard to pick a favourite – though it has to be the first for me; it’s the colours that I love so much.
