“For Family” Challenge
Penny Black’s newest collection, Life’s Messages (link to catalog), is full of stamps perfect for projects for every member of your family (including those dear friends that we consider family!) and it has us inspired to present to you a SPECIAL challenge and a chance to win NEW stamps!
Create a project for or about your family! Think Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, grandparents, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, dear friends you consider family… the list goes on and on! Here are the details:
Who can play along?
Anyone can submit their project! We love to see what you create with Penny Black stamps. All levels of stampers are welcome. You might even want to create a project WITH a family member, you know, those little ones always love to get inky. 🙂
What should I create?
Submit any type of project—card, tag, mixed media, altered art, scrapbook pages, home décor, etc. Just be sure your submission has at least one Penny Black stamp as the main focus.
How do I submit my project?
There are several of ways to submit your project. Pick from any of these options (and you only need to pick one):
Add it to the Penny Circle Flickr gallery with the tag “for family.”
Leave a comment on this post linking us to your blog entry or online gallery.
When you post on your blog, don’t forget to grab our graphic above to include in your post! Simply right click and save the image.
When can I play along?
This contest is open from April 29th through midnight PST on May 19th. We’re giving you lots of time so feel free to submit more than one project!

It wouldn’t be a challenge without prizes; right? Three lucky winners will receive a prize package from Penny Black, each valued at $25.
And you never know, we just might feature YOUR entry here on the official Penny Black blog, Facebook or Twitter page!!

This is my submission to the challenge:
What is one of the main purposes of family? My answer: To be there if a family member is in trouble and needs help. If somebody is mean to us or we do something silly, family is always there to rescue us. That is the topic of my card “family is there to catch you”. The mouse standing in the tree blows heavily. This drives the poor hedgehog who is hanging on a balloon into the direction of the mouse sitting on a leaf. This evil little mouse has an opened and pointed clasp pin waiting to prick into the balloon. There is also a silent witness watching the scene. But there is help. The hedgehog and the cat on the grass already stretched a blanket to catch the falling hedgehog. This is family!
P. S.: The Penny Black stamps are from the clear stamp set “critter party”. Thanks a lot for the wonderful challenge.

I guess you didn’t add the entries that were added by “comment” because i did not see anything but the ones added by flickr. i put mine on flickr after i noticed this but it would have been too late. i originally entered on 5-9, 5-14 and 5-15.
