alexandra’s Sunday scrapbook – How to Make Layered Backgrounds

May 18, 2013

Hello Friends! Today I’m using these two stamps from Penny Black Inc. Letter Background #1999L + Allover pattern #40-109 together with watercolor paint and some modeling paste to create two layered backgrounds ready to be scrapped, used for a mini or a card.

I hope you’ll join me on my blog art scrap & more for a complete tutorial.

Thank You!

      Hello dear Greta!
To answer your question, gesso can indeed be used with a mask instead of modeling paste 😉
      Thanks!

Thank you for the detailed description – layered backgrounds are something I need to work on so this is very timely – the two examples you show are so informative & I always enjoy your detailed tutorials.
Have a lovely weekend & week following.
