Color Combo Challenge with Heather

September 16, 2013

Have you entered our current challenge? Find all of the details HERE and view each color combo by clicking on the following links: DAY 1, DAY 2, DAY 3, DAY 4, DAY 5. And if you need even more inspiration, join us all this week to see what our designers have done with the challenge color combos!

Heather has used our new woodblock stamp, 4347K Christmas Reds and Greens, on her simply elegant card using this combo–

We love that she’s used the turquoise green as her primary color and then added touches of the rusty red for her berries. And how about that gold along the outer edges of her inked panel? It adds such depth!

Heather created this beauty by embossing the branches in grey first then adding the horizontal panel which was sponged in chalk inks with the same branch added in chalk ink. The berries were punched from glossy cardstock.

I like the way those blue branches echo the focal image & the way the latter extends over the inked panel.

That stamp will become a “go to” classic! It does not limit itself to Christmas. And this card by Heather is stunning!!
