StampNation Guests: Welcome Iwona!

May 12, 2014

We love discovering places for stampers to play, find inspiration, and learn. If you haven’t heard of StampNation be sure you check out their amazing community.  StampNation members have access to over 400 videos, a classroom, fun challenges, gallery, message boards, and more! And as we mentioned last week, Penny Black is proudly sponsoring one of their challenges as we speak.  Lucky for us we can get a taste of their designers’ talent here on our blog as we have 6 very special guests joining us this week!  Let’s check out who’s up today…

iwona

Iwona is a card maker with passion but not enough hours in the day. Stamps and dies are what she reaches for most of the time, and Penny Black ones are among her favorites. When she’s not creating, she loves spending time with her kiddos! You can find Iwona on her blog, Random Acts of Creativity.

Well, we are sure glad you had time to create this beauty, Iwona!

iwona2

Iwona has used our SlapStick/Cling background 40-190 Bed of Roses as a soft layer in her background by coloring around the roses using a Copic marker.

iowana3

She also used roses from 40-190 Bed of Roses for her focal point, too.

iwona4

And just to tease you a little bit J, here’s a peek at another Penny Black creation by Iwonathat we snuck over from the StampNation site.  (Sssh!! Don’t tell!)

So I really, really need to win a subscription to StampNation! I really need the help! Thank you so much for giving us a chance to win such a terrific prize.

Amazing card… LOVE the background and the vibrant colors 🙂

  48. May 13, 2014 3:05 am

This is a wonderful example of how to use a background stamp for that plus the focal image – not something I’d thought of in quite this way. I particularly like the way the yellow ribbon forms a line leading the eye from left to right just into that focal flower which is the same colour. The blue of the sentiment is arresting & then I realised why – Colour Theory: with the blue & yellow mixing to make green! Especially effective with the brilliant bright yellow & the muted pastel pale blue.
