Summer Sun Collaboration: Day 5

June 13, 2014

As the summer sun begins to rise and the temps heat up, what better way to beat the heat than crafting!  Join us all this week for a special collaboration with Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft. We’re sharing fun projects here on our blog using Paper Crafter Crayons and Double Scoop Gelatos AND you’ll find projects from the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft designers on their blog featuring our stamps.  We want you to join in the fun, too, so don’t miss the giveaway details at the end of this post.

It’s a field of sunflowers on Cathy’s card!

cathy

Here’s how Cathy worked her melting and stamping magic.

Mask off mount board with painter’s tape.

cathy2

Apply Gesso to Dotted Fusion stamp and stamp onto mount board – leave to dry.

cathy3

Cover whole area with Gelatos in yellow shades and blend together.

cathy4

Mix Green Tea Double Scoop Gelato with Gel Medium on craft sheet and then apply over Verdant Stencil Design with a palette knife.

cathy5

Stamp several flowers with Versafine ink, cut out and color with Gelatos.

cathy6

Add a light coloring of Green Tea Gelato over stenciled area and shave off some wax from the Paper Crafter Crayon, cover with wax paper and iron to melt the shavings. Add shavings to the center of the flowers, cover and iron.

cathy7

Arrange and adhere flowers to background and glaze.  Add easel mount to back.

cathy8

Stamp sentiment with Memento Luxe Rich Cocoa ink and add yellow Gelato to edge, adhere to background and draw rough lines around to finish.
