“When I was little I would always wake up on Christmas morning and find my main present in my bedroom, leading up to Christmas my Nan would say if you are naughty you won’t get any presents!  One year I woke up to an empty bedroom and was so upset that I had no presents because I had not behaved, however I later discovered that my present was too big for my bedroom…..It was a pony!  The best present I have ever had, thank you Dad 🙂 .”
–Cathy Andronicou

Today’s card by Cathy isn’t quite a pony but a beautiful leaping deer using Creative Die, 51-062 Leap of Joy.

Cathy’s lovely background was created by applying texture paste through our stencil, 25-009 Snow Dance, over her watercolored background.

Even the inside of her card is beautiful!

Hi Christine, a I use Perga glue it is designed for parchment craft and works beautifully on vellum, it also has a fine nozzle so you can apply easily to intricate die cut sentiments.

A pony? A real live pony? That’s every little girl’s dream … and you should be grateful they didn’t leave it in your bedroom! Your card is beautiful .. the blue color adds so much!!

Yes Judy a real live pony, I loved him for several years although he was on full livery so others could ride him, it was the only way we could afford to keep him!

gosh, a pony. I never knew anyone who actually got a real pony for Christmas. I only saw that in movies or on TV. Your card is lovely and the flying reindeer really looks as if he or she is really flying.

I was lucky enough to be another little girl that received a pony! And guess what…they do fit in the house. When we first got Queenie”, our parents were out doing errands when a bad storm came up. My sister, brother, and I were so afraid that our pony would bolt during the storm, and we would never see her again!! We hooked a rope around her neck, and led her right into the laundry room of our house. She just stood there like it was where she spent every stormy day. Boy, were our parents ever surprised when they came home!! No spankings, just lots of laughs, and memories to share sixty years later.
