September 5, 2014

We invite you to join us this week as we share more inspiration featuring products from our new release, Season’s Greetings, and as our designers share some of their favorite holiday traditions and memories.

“When it comes to the holidays, I LOVE decorating Christmas trees. Last year I had three trees in the house, each with a unique color scheme: orange and red, turquoise and gold, and traditional red and green.”
–Jill Foster

Well, speaking of three trees, that’s exactly what Jill has for us today. She’s used our Slapstick/Cling stamp, 40-344 Oh Christmas Tree.

40-344

This first tree may look familiar…

We have received lots of requests asking how this catalog card was created so Jill has designed a similar card with a video for you! Same technique, just different colors.

Jill, you are my Vincent van Gogh my Monet my Picasso in friends in stamping ..I absolutely love how you make me feel like I can do it to that ..I’m an artist. The way you talk about the light in and around and put in those extra sources of light you’re really educating me so well on this craft and I’m really enjoying it .and the more you talk and I pick up bits & pieces I’m learning so much thanks Jill …I just love it.. I just laughed when I go to the library and I teach a class on stamping and the minute someone gets an inky edge Or an inky finger on the card and they freak out and I end up giving them my card that’s done perfectly of course and I take that card that they’ve messed up and I make it a work of art , how they end up wanting the card I did back … Lol . Keep those videos coming .. Yours in ink ( your Picasso in training) Anne

Love the watercoloring on this image–so carefree and moody. The more I watch you do these things, the more empowered I feel to try such things. Thanks for the courage and inspiration. That makes you my muse, doesn’t it?
