Winter Watercolor with Elizabeth

October 20, 2014

It’s time to pick up your stamps, dies, paintbrushes and watercolors. Join us this week for watercolor techniques and inspiration featuring our new collection Winter Wonderland. Want to join in on the fun? Just upload your project to our Penny Circle Flickr Gallery and/or Facebook page—we love seeing your Penny Black creations!

Elizabeth has taken inspiration for her winter watercolor from the gentle snowflakes that adorn nature with a soft white blanket as seen at sunset.

A tiny bit of ribbon and a small antique button make these snow-covered branches dance with delight.

This is a great technique to use with all the images included in the Nature’s Gifts transparent set!

I don’t do twitter or facebook. Is there anywhere I can view instructions on this watercolor technique, other than those venues? Would love to learn. Looks beautiful. Lynn
