SIMPLICITY Inspiration with Kay: Day 1

June 22, 2015

As the temps outside begin to rise, here on the blog we have also been heating things up with designer inspiration. Over the past several weeks our designers have brought you design ideas featuring their trademark styles and products from our new collection, Sunshine and Smiles. This week we welcome a special guest, Kay Miller! Kay is a Penny Black Simplicity Sister who also regularly shares her clean and simple card designs on our SIMPLICITY site.

To go along with Kay’s SIMPLY sweet watercolor designs this week, she has also used our newest sentiment set, 30-280 A Sweet Day.

30-280

And to create the light and airy floral design on her card, Kay colored onto her floral image, 30-298 Enamor, using Distress markers. She misted the stamp with water and pressed it onto her watercolor paper. Then she also went back, using a paintbrush, and applied water around the edges of the flowers and stems. How easily one can achieve the look of a hand-painted card!
