Ghoulishly Delicious

October 16, 2015

There’s a chill in the air and even a bit of spooky anticipation for October 31st! This week join the Penny Black designers as they share inspiration featuring our Autumn Dance collection.

Why do these cards look so thick? Is this some kind of trick?

Actually, it’s a treat!

Elizabeth created dark teal matchboxes decorated with the frightfully cute hedgie from our transparent set, 30-318 Bewitched, to hold colorful chocolate goodies.

30-318

Tone-on-tone stamping on 80-009 Painted Blooms designer paper using 40-400 Dark House and 40-420 Pastoral set an eerie outdoor background.

Oooh, Elizabeth has another treat (a tip/hint) to share with us today.

Tip/Hint: To create a smooth glide between the box components, rub the exterior edges of the box and interior walls of the sleeve with wax paper. This will reduce the “paper friction”.

So adorable. Is there a website to learn how to make the box?

Thanks for stopping by, Andrea, and for your comments! Designer Elizabeth created this particular matchbox template (template not included in post above) but a google search for “matchbox template” will give you lots of options to suit whatever size/style you would like.
