Welcome Guest Designer Penny Ward
This week we are excited to share the stamping of a wonderfully talented Guest Designer. Welcome Penny Ward!
My first purchase when I decided to try my hand at card making was Tiny Wishes by Penny Black. I still often grab for the cute little mouse hanging from a branch, so yes, Penny Black will always be my first love (of stamps). Their flower and silhouette stamps are the prettiest by far and I can’t begin to tell you how honored I am to have been asked to Guest Design for them. I do believe a Happy Dance was involved!
About Me
I am going to keep this short and sweet. These are the things that matter to me…..I am a Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Nana, Breast Cancer Survivor and Card Designer….. Life is Good!
Well, Penny, life is good here on our blog when we have your stunning creations to share! Without further ado, let’s take a peek at Penny’s beautiful designs.
Penny proves that blue may just be the most elegant color when stamping with our Slapstick/Cling stamp, 40-453 Passionate.
And by folding our Creative Die, 51-195 Bookmark, she’s also created a miniature card. Genius!

Love these and not just because of the use of my favorite color, but because they are so gorgeous. The mini card created from the tag is genius! Thanks, Penny! And there’s a whole week of Penny’s work. Thanks Penny Black! 🙂
Miss Barbara…aren’t you just the sweetest!!! Thanks for the kudos. hugs 🙂
sO very pretty!!

Stunning…..Penny Black–excellent stamps.
HOW LOVELY!!! I ADORE THE BLUE & this just looks like CHINA to me done in blue! JUST GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😉
Thanks Becky…I love all your capital letters..you mean it! Many hugs, 🙂
SERIOUSLY…..THIS CARD IS STUNNING!!!!! I mean, the stamp is lovely but you made it look AMAZING!!!!!
One question if I may…..did you wet the paper before your stamped it or after. Or, did you spray the stamp before stamping it? I just love the deep, rich color in the centers and the softer color on the edges and I don’t see any lines whatsoever in this image.
I just love this card, thank you so much for sharing.
Maria Rodriguez.
Miss Maria, Thank you for the kudos!!! I used a Misti tool to do the stamping on watercolor paper. The only time water comes into play is AFTER everything is stamped. I then take a damp paintbrush, touching the edges of the ink and pulling the color outward. Hope that is helpful. hugs 🙂
Miss Maria, Amending my instructions in the previous reply. In all honesty this card was made a while ago, but in looking at the card again, I did mist the stamp after inking. One light spray, you don’t want the ink dripping off the stamp. 🙂
Great job, love the blue!
So beautiful! I’ll be using up my blue watercolors it looks like trying this out!
Miss Bev….shhh, don’t tell, but Blue is my favorite color and though you don’t see a lot of blue flowers, I say why not and paint them myself. Thanks for the kudos. hugs, 🙂
Makes cents…two PENNY’S are better than one . Love it all.
Toooo funny! Actually, that is why my very first stamp purchase was chosen…because they had my name. hugs, 🙂
so beautiful ❤ ❤ ❤
