Our designer, Micheline “Mimi” Jourdain, has been creating masterpieces with stamps from our newest collection, Artistic Endeavors. Join us this week as we take a peek at a few of her beautiful cards.
As you can see, this beautiful muse isn’t just for art journaling and mixed media, she also looks stunning on a card.
Mimi began by stamping 40-472 Muse onto Strathmore 140 lb watercolor paper with VersaFine Onyx Black ink. She colored the dress with Picked Raspberry and Spiced Marmalade Distress Stains. Once dry, she stamped the butterfly (40-461 Butterfly Trio) using Versafine Onyx Black ink. To color the hair, Mimi used Vintage Photo and Black Soot Distress Inks. For the background, she applied a layer of diluted Stormy Sky Distress Ink (using the ink as paint). She also mixed in Spiced Marmalade from above while wet. She splattered the background with black droplets for addiitional visual interest as well as adding the necklace and “locket.” The sentiment from our transparent set, 30-297 Sprinkles and Smiles, was stamped using VersaFine Onyx Black ink.
