Eeek Treats

October 15, 2016

Today we have a special treat for you… literally! Designer Elizabeth Allan joins us with a fun Halloween gift idea. What did she use to create this fun packaging? Creative dies and… ribbon spools!

Elizabeth covered the spools with paper and painted them, too. Cellophane was cut to size, wrapped around the container, and tied with a ribbon.

The “flagpoles” were made by cutting 1/8” wood dowel rods to length and staining them with Black Soot Distress Paint. The flags feature the sentiment from our Creative Die set 51-077 Eeek.

After the sentiment was die cut from black cardstock, it was coated with iCraft Mixed Media Adhesive and sprinkled with ultra-fine black glitter.

Thanks, Elizabeth, for this spooktacular inspiration!

Note: If you are looking for Mrs. Runs with Scissors, never fear, she will be back next week to fill our Saturday with more smiles, stories, and cardmaking fun!
