Product Spotlight with Birgit Edblom

October 17, 2016

The talented Birgit Edblom has been working her magic with our new release, Festive Wishes! Join us over the next two weeks as she spotlights our new stamps and dies with her trademark inspiring style.

We begin this week with Birgit’s elegant scene, created entirely with Creative Dies.

Birgit expertly combined these three Creative Dies: 51-277 Snowy Layered Tree, 51-258 Chapels, and 51-271 Winter Slumber.

She began by painting the sky/background with watercolors. To create the look of snow, she splattered the background with white paint.  Then Birgit stamped her sentiment (30-387 Festive Snippets). To add “light” to the windows in her die cut chapel, Birgit used yellow paper glued to the back side of the chapel and embellished it with glitter. She die cut her trees from white paper and layered them, embellishing each with glitter glue.  The scene was assembled as shown, adhered to the watercolor background, and then to the notecard.  Finally, she added the round “frame” element to the card using dimensional adhesive.
