Talk about versatility… a Christmas stamp transformed to a beach scene!

Yep, Birgit transformed the winter scene from our Slapstick/Cling stamp, 40-502 Tranquil, to a beach scene by simply painting sand instead of snow and adding the water in the background.

To create her card, Birgit inked the stamp using permanent grey ink pads, colored onto the tree with green ink, and the rest of the image with dark brown ink.  She stamped onto watercolor paper. Once dry, she added shading, as well as the sea, sky and background colors, using watercolor paints.  Finally, she stamped her sentiment (30-387 Festive Snippets) and mounted her watercolor panel to her notecard.

When I first saw this stamp set, it reminded me of the beach fences that help to maintain the shoreline. I just might have to buy it now since I’ve seen Birgit’s beautiful card.
