BLISSful Brushstrokes with Heather

February 22, 2017

Our designers have been getting inky with our newest collection of stamps, dies, and stencils—BLISS 2017, now available in our online store! This week they share their tips, techniques, and gorgeous cards featuring our new brushstroke stamps.

What happens with Heather gets her hands on our new brushstroke stamp, 40-537 Peony?

Springtime beauty!

Give it a try…

Heather achieved this loose watercolor look by inking her stamp with Distress Stains and stamping it onto watercolor paper with a stamp positioning tool. Then using a small paintbrush and water, she blended from the center of the flowers outward to create softly blended petals. (Full supplies and instructions linked below.)

And here’s a great tip from Heather: If at any point the image becomes too wet or dark, just dab it with a dry paper towel.
