Birthday Fun

June 1, 2017

It’s time for a poetic party and you’re invited! This week join Birgit Edblom as she explores the range of possibilities available with our newest collection, Poetic.

Our Slapstick/Cling stamp, 40-522 Birthday Hoopla, is a great option for one-layer cards… easy to create AND easy to mail for all of your upcoming summer birthdays.

On Birgit’s first card, she simply stamped it on top of her unique background and embellished with Liquid Pearls.

Tips/Techniques: Create background by applying alcohol inks to glossy paper. Stamp sentiment using black StazOn ink. Embellish with Liquid Pearls.

And on this next card Birgit first stamped a birthday bouquet, 40-509 Full of Glee, and then added her bold sentiment on top.

Tips/Techniques: Stamp floral image using VersaFine Vintage Sepia ink onto textured cardstock (Birgit recommends Paper Accent, Bazzill Linen Textured Cardstock, or Scrapberrys Canvas Cardstock). Very lightly paint with Daler Rowney watercolors. Overstamp sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black ink. Paint sentiment with watercolors using care not to use too much water or overwork so as to not re-blend the painted flowers in the background.

Love the addition of the flower and leaf for the butterfly to sit on!
