Fun Friday with Penny Ward

June 2, 2017

Once a month, Penny Ward will be joining us with her inspiring and gorgeous Bible journaling pages featuring our products! You can read more about Penny and her Bible journaling tips HERE. We love her approach to Bible journaling: “I journal in a Bible to show my love of God and particular scripture most of the time. God gave me the crafty gene and I am showing him what He gave me. I am sure He loves it in His book no less. I also have a second Bible for reading.” So whether you are new to Bible journaling or a card-maker looking for stamping ideas and techniques, we welcome you and wish you happy Friday!

For Penny’s Bible journaling page this month, she’s featured the beautiful verse from our transparent set, 30-432 Hope Shines, along with the delicate flowers from the transparent set, 30-421 Flower Medley.

Her page incorporates the use of colored pencils and pens along with her stamping. If you are concerned about your pages wrinkling and warping, then these techniques are a great option as they do not use any wet media.

And Penny certainly was thinking outside of the box when she created a “home” for her stamped verse on this page. She simply traced around the tag from our Creative Die set, 51-354 Gift Tag, and drew in the tassel. What a fun idea that could be incorporated onto multiple pages, just change the stamped verse. Or if you are working in a wide-margin bible, the outlined tag could also be used as a space to add personal journaling.

One more thing… TGIF!

Keeping Bible journal looks very interesting, as this one does, but for me, I would want a wide margin bible. Thanks for showing!
