3D Candy Holder

September 25, 2018

Turn up the Christmas tunes, put out the twinkling lights in the craft room, and get ready to tackle your holiday crafting to-do list with loads of inspiration from our designers and artsy friends as they feature the new stamps and dies from our Christmas 2018 collection!

Decorate your table or give as a gift… this week’s first project from Cathy Andronicou is both dimensional and delicious.

Cathy’s project features our Creative Dies, 51-466 Sleigh and 51-385 Inspired.

So how did she create this sleigh full of treats? Here’s how…

Die cut 4 sleighs from gold cardstock and cut a piece of gold cardstock measuring 2” x 4”. Score 1/4” along each long side.

Fringe the scored edges (approximately 1/4” spacing).

Bend the cardstock and glue the scored fringe to one of the edges of the sleigh.

Repeat on the other side of the scored fringe.

Glue the remaining two sleighs to the outside of the design to strengthen and hide the fringe.

Die cut 2 deer from brown cardstock.

Glue the top half of the bodies together and splay out legs to make the deer stand.

Add twine to sleigh and deer then fill sleigh with candy to finish.

Before you go, don’t miss this week’s cards on our SIMPLICITY site…

Love this idea, but I would have to fix the number of legs! I would cut 4 deer, glue 2 together each side for strength, and trim off the ‘inside’ legs so the deer has 4 rather than 8 legs. Can you tell that I am somewhat OCD?? 😉

Wow I never spotted that, thanks so much for the tip…I gave my mum this, I will now laugh every time I see it knowing it has 8 legs!

and cartoons and toys, but what soгt of things ɑre
enjoyable for God?? It was a question that for a minute Mommy
