Welcome Winter with Virginia Lu

November 26, 2018

Over the next several weeks, here on our blog, Facebook page, Instagram, and YouTube channel you’ll find loads of inspiration from our designers and artsy friends as they feature the stamps and dies from our newest collection. All new products are now available in our online store!

We hope you are ready for a week full of colorful creativity! Join us in welcoming Virginia Lu and her unique holiday cards!

Today’s card features our Creative Die, 51-447 Poinsettia Cut Out.

Virginia’s striking card highlights the fabulous dimension that can be achieved with this die.

For her background, Virginia stamped the pine branches from our cling stamp, 40-643 Joy of Peace. We love the elegance this adds to her design.

And speaking of elegance… what a beautiful sentiment choice from our transparent set, 30-498 Peaceful Season.

Tips and details from Virginia: The “Poinsettia Cut Out” is a partial die and gives the poinsettia a realistic and stunning 3D look. When coloring the poinsettia with Distress Oxide, I used a piece of paper to cover each leaf. I stamped the pine bough from “Joy of Peace” to enhance the overall design. I think the poinsettia will also look beautiful mixed in pink/green, yellow/green or any color combo that you desire.
