Jingle all the Way…

What a whirlwind week! We have three fabulous new Designers on board, ready to fill the Blog with Penny Black artwork, and we were treated to a special spotlight yesterday as Kath Stewart joined us for a day. To view all of our Designer spotlights, click HERE.

I have a card for you today, using our Transparent set, Best Day Ever.

Larger images can sometimes be hard to work with when assembling a card. I simple matted my image a few times, elongating the lower part of the mat to accommodate a ribbon bow. This helps balance out the space being used on my card front.

I colored the image with “Smooch”, a Clearsnap paint product. I’ll be providing a tutorial on coloring images using Smooch during our next Technique Week in December. We’ll be filling a week with pictorials on coloring stamped images without Copics! You’ve asked for coloring techniques and I think you’ll love all of the options we have for you.

Here’s a sketch, based upon my card. Sketches can be a great starting point when creating a card. In fact, how about a weekend card sketch challenge? Create a card using Penny Black, based upon the sketch and upload it to our Penny Circle Flickr Gallery (tagged with “sketch1“) by the end of the weekend for a chance to win your choice of TWO Penny Black Transparent stamp sets!
