A Bold & Bright Thanks
It’s Denise Marzec’s week here at the Penny Black Blog and you’ll notice a theme — bold and bright cards featuring Penny Black images and fun color combinations. Denise’s first project of the week is a 5″ square card using “Hello Dear“, a fun slapstick stamp with endless coloring possibilities. The cardstock you see is from our Mix & Match collection, Summer Sun and Clear Skies. Stardust Stickles were added to the water, centers of flowers, and the button on the mouse’s suspenders. All edges were machine stitched and the image was colored with Copic Markers.
CARD CHALLENGE
It’s Monday and time for a new card challenge! Create a new BOLD & BRIGHT card using Penny Black stamps and upload it into our Gallery by Midnight Sunday night, PST. The winning entry will be announced next Tuesday and win their choice of a Penny Black transparent set of stamps and a package of Mix & Match Cardstock! Good luck!
Super cute! Thanks for sharing 😉

Beautiful and how lovely to see copics used on these adorable Penny Black critters. Would really love a tutorial or guide to which colours people colour their Penny Black animals. Almost every copic Tutorial out there is showing how to colour cute people and not animals.
I love Penny Black!!

Sweet card, fabulous coloring!
Awe, this is just so cute, loving all the different angles of the matting & layering!
Thanks for all the nice comments, ladies!
To answer Caz’s question, I used E25, E41, E42 and E43 copics on the mice with E00 and E11 for their hands and feet. 🙂
very adorable! The colors really make me smile and think of a perfect spring day 🙂
Amazing colouring, Denise! I love the image.
Simply DARLING!!
SOOOO ADORABLE! This stamp is precious and the color combo Denise used is one of my favorites!

Aww…this is so cute and absolutely gorgeous coloring!
amazing coloring! beautiful card!
Beautiful card – fun challenge.
This is delightful & made me laugh. So many uses for this stamp – even children playing peek-a-boo. The turquoise gingham is a lovely touch with the yellow paper.
