Penny Black Designer, Cathy Andronicou

Welcome back to the Penny Black Blog! We have two new Designers at Penny Black. We announced Jill Foster over the weekend, you can scroll down to view her introduction. Today we are so excited to introduce you to Cathy Andronicou! Cathy’s style caught our eye in our Gallery and we were so happy when she agreed to officially design for Penny Black. You’ll be seeing Cathy’s creations all week long and we know you’re going to love her work!

Cathy has enjoyed crafting from an early age, but got back into card making and stamping about 12 years ago when a friend showed her a card she had made. That lead to a trip to her local craft shop for supplies and after a few visits she was asked if she would be interested in teaching classes; so that is what she did on her days off work. She no longer teaches at the local shop but has found a whole new community of friends over the internet through blogging. You can visit Cathy’s Blog by clicking on her photo.

The greatest pleasure Cathy gets is from trying out new techniques and products to see what effects can be created, more recently venturing beyond cards into altering items around the home. Cathy Lives on the South Coast of England; with sandy beaches and the New Forest National Park on her doorstep. She shares her life with her husband and two teenage children.

CARD CHALLENGE
Now for our challenge this week… Create a new Penny Black stamped card by ‘lifting’ a design by one our Designers, found in our Gallery. You can view the Designers’ work by clicking HERE. Upload your work to our Gallery by Midnight Sunday night, PST and be sure to tag your entry with “pennyblacklift“. We’ll choose a winning entry to receive their choice of a Penny Black transparent set of stamps and a package of Mix & Match cardstock. The winner will be announced in next Tuesday’s post.
