Peace and Warm Wishes

August 12, 2011
by

Elizabeth Allan is here today with her version of this week’s Christmas Nature theme. Elizabeth created a holiday greeting card with a hand-cut window, elevated with dimensional foam. The window allows a distressed sentiment (“World Peace“) to show through. Elizabeth stamped her card base (Mix & Match Fall Festival) with a new Slapstick Set, “Warm Wishes“;

The bird and holly (“Nature’s Best”) were colored with watercolor crayons for a soft opaque look. Elizabeth even created her own altered button. To read more about the creation of this card, you can visit Elizabeth’s Blog.

Scroll to Monday’s post to view the details of this week’s card challenge. We enjoy seeing your work in our Gallery! We’re back on Monday with more Christmas 2011 reveals and a PB&J video! Have a great weekend.

    Love the way the texture of that cling stamp picks up on the holly leaf patterning – very effective as is the soft bird colouring.
