One Layer Cards
We have a special treat today – several of our Designers took on a challenge to create one layer cards. You’ll love the techniques they used to accomplish stunning results!
by Heather Telford;
SUPPLIES: Bamboo Branch 2977K, Free Flight 30-117. Heather masked the moon and the right side then sponged in three greens. She stamped the bamboo repeatedly in the same greens, removed the masks and add the black bamboo and sentiment.

by Karen Dunbrook;
SUPPLIES: Breezy 40-111, Sweet Wishes 30-104. Karen needed masculine cards to add to her collection – she’s on a mission to create more of them to have on hand. Karen masked the center portion, stamped the ferns in 3 different colours of Distress Inks, then added sponging with the same colour. Karen then removed the masks and added the scoring lines.
by Cathy Fong;
SUPPLIES: Words Express, Tiny Wishes. Image was colored with Copics and distress inks.

Beautiful one layer cards! Love seeing the different styles from the DT!
Amazing to see that masking can produce such varied results – this has definitely inspired me to work on the technique as I can see that I’ve only scraped the surface so far.
