We begin today with a beautiful card by Birgit! She’s used our Slapstick/Cling 40-275 Valentine Dance.

Edited to Add: By popular demand, here is Birgit with instructions on making this beautiful card!

1. To create the blue background, I used the negative of a die cut square and shaded it with Distress Inks and an ink blending tool.
2. Next I stamped the butterfly image with blue ink on the square.
3. I stamped one more butterfly image on another paper and cut out the wings.
4. I colored the wings with Distress Inks and placed them with 3D foam over the first stamped image.
5. Finally, I added Glossy Accent to the hearts.

And don’t forget, there’s still time to enter our current challenge. Complete details HERE. You never know when we just might spot YOU!

This really shows what can be done using just one colour. The contrast at the centre between the light background & deep blue colour of the butterflies just draws the eye inwards ……into the butterfly dance!!

    Hi there,

I wonder if you can help please? I’m a little confused by this message, is it my work that has been spotted or is this a post about Birgit’s work 😀 Or perhaps it is both?
    Thank you,
    Gay

This is incredibly beautiful and creative! I am off to Birgit’s blog to see if she explains how this was done. Birgit uses the most beautiful papers for her art and it adds so much.
