May 17, 2014

We love discovering places for stampers to play, find inspiration, and learn. If you haven’t heard of StampNation be sure you check out their amazing community. StampNation members have access to over 400 videos, a classroom, fun challenges, gallery, message boards, and more! And as we mentioned last week, Penny Black is proudly sponsoring one of their challenges as we speak. Lucky for us we can get a taste of their designers’ talent here on our blog as we have 6 very special guests joining us this week! Let’s check out who’s up today…

virginia

I am Virginia Lu from Ontario, Canada. I started my card-making blog in Sept. 2009 and have loved every minute of it! I love working with all kinds of stamps, pattern paper, inks, digital images, embellishments and mixed media! My favorite style is leaning toward Clean and Simple. I like to add a “wow” factor to my cards as it gives the receivers a lasting impression and a sense of delight and charm. One of my goals in card-making is to spread the love of stamping. In March 2014,  I created a challenge blog called Virginia’s View Challenge. It’s such an honor to share my work with Penny Black Stamps here!I am loving all the new Penny Black stamps and dies! The set called “Cupcake Day” is such a fun one. You can create any styles to suit the special occasion.

For today’s card, Virginia applied Gelatos with water to create the background and stripes. She also added twine and some hearts which were stenciled with embossing paste.

And just to tease you a little bit J, here’s a peek at another Penny Black creation by Virginia that we snuck over from the StampNation site. (Sssh!! Don’t tell!)
