Fun Friday with a Fabulous Friend

February 26, 2016

Today we celebrate Fun Friday with a fabulous friend!

Who is our “Fabulous Friend” today? Why it’s none other than the super talented Simplicity Sister, Marion Vagg!

I am very excited and honoured to be sharing a card here on the Penny Black blog today. To create my card I stamped a solid flower from the Petal Power stamp set in some bold coloured dye inks. Once dry, I added some shading to the petals with Prismacolor pencils and used a blender pencil to blend the colours together. To create some visual interest, I cut the brown panel on a diagonal and allowed for a white border at the bottom and sides. I love how the brown panel at the bottom allows those bright flowers to pop. The sentiment is from the Sprinkles and Smiles stamp set and is been white heat embossed. Once the flowers and leaves were arranged and adhered, I embellished the card with some clear gems.

I hope you are having a wonderful day.
