Two Creative Die Designs

February 21, 2018

Over the next several weeks our designers and crafty friends will be joining us to share their creations featuring our newest collection of stamps and Creative Dies, Sweet Spring. This week we feature the unique cardmaking style of Birgit Edblom.

Birgit has put the spotlight on our Creative Dies today with simple layouts and color schemes. To begin, she’s worked her magic with our Creative Die, 51-428 Floral Arrangement.

Design Details: Birgit cut her stitched background from Paper Accent textured cardstock and then inked it with Green Distress Ink using a sponge ink blending tool. She stamped her sentiment with Archival black ink onto this background. Birgit’s die cut flowers were cut from watercolor paper and painted with Daniel Smith watercolors. After adhering the die cuts to the background panel, Birgit embellished the flowers and buds with Liquid Pearls.

Next, using similar techniques and colors, Birgit layered our Creative Dies, 51-413 Bodacious and 51-435 Curved Stitch.
