Oooooh, pretty colors – *and* a chance to win!
March 5, 2013
“Flowers and butterflies drift in color, illuminating spring.”
All of our newest releases are ready to be stamped and colored to your heart’s delight. Watercolors, markers, pastels, paper piecing . . . there are so many ways of coloring images, and our designers share their favorites here.
Today’s challenge: COLOR stamped images, either in colors inspired by the ones in the image below, or paper pieced !
And my oh my, how our designers rocked that challenge!
From Therese Schaffer, “I used Chick to Chick (30-150) for this card. I scored lines on the card panel to add texture. The banner was a die cut. I selectively stamped the flowers from another image alongside the 3 little chicks as well as on the sentiment. I also rounded the corners on the card and card panels.”
Cathy Andronicou used Garden Critters 30-152 (all colouring is via paper piecing on this little guy) Roman Surround 40-201 and April Showers 30-172, other Spellbinders nesting Circles and Scalloped Circles and May Arts Silk Ribbon.
And here’s another that Cathy Andronicou made with the color combo in mind using Sea Breeze 08-001, Fuchsia Fantasies 13-001 & 13-003 Mix and Match Cardstock and Chick to Chick 30-150 Other: Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A and Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Squares.
Upload & share your work, and post a link here so we can take a peek and include you in a drawing for CHICK TO CHICK set of your own! (See our four new spring sets here!)

gorgeous cards – love the colours x
A terrific array of colours – my head is buzzing with ideas; shall try to extract some crafty play time & join in. I know I’ve said it before but – the array of different cards that you showcase really provides inspiration for all manner of crafters.

I didn’t use the blue or yellow, but was inspired by the pinks to make a “pink” card, not my usual style! but I enjoyed it!
