To You, From Me & Challenge Winner

March 29, 2011
by

Hello, thanks for joining us today. Our featured card includes this week’s challenge theme technique; wet embossing.  (See yesterday’s post for details.)  I used a wonderful transparent set, “To You” which includes large florals and elegant greetings;

I stamped just the top portion of the large bouquet image onto the bottom of my card panel in Versamark then embossed in white. I stamped the large flower onto Penny Black coordinating cardstock, also in Versamark and embossed in white. I trimmed the flower from the darker cardstock and then just the small portion of the flower again from a lighter shade. I nested them together and popped them onto my card panel with foam tape.

I added some gemstones them stamped and matted my greeting. TIP: When wet embossing, rub a dryer sheet over your cardstock before you stamp – the powder will stick only to the ink.

The vibrant orange you see if from our Mix & Match “Summer Sun” trio of sunset oranges. If you’d like to win this pack of Penny Black cardstock along with a few more, just leave a comment on this post. We’re giving away cardstock every day this week. Winners will be announced in Monday’s post.

    I like how you use the large bouquet image proportionality! It gives a different look all over and if you do not mention it, I would not have noticed that! Keep the creative flowing!
